1 tour, 3 modes: MetroLink light rail, Missouri River Runner rail, and bike the beautiful River Ring greenways. You must able to ride a bicycle, but all ages and abilities are welcome! Cost is approx. $25 and includes standard (non e-) bike rental, to be delivered at the start of the trail portion. Bike ride is 15 mi. at a leisurely pace, 90% along paved car-free bikeways, and should take 1.5-2 hours with breaks. Drizzle or shine! Draft itinerary:

Group Train Ride from Chicago
Start your trip to the Sustainability & Operations Planning Workshop or APTA Tech Conference in Chicago with a train ride down to St. Louis at 110 mph! On Sunday, August 9, attendees will travel as a group from Chicago Union Station to St. Louis on-board Amtrak’s newest Siemens Venture coaches, experiencing the Illinois High Speed Rail Corridor—one of the few 110 mph segments outside the Northeast. Attendees may also join an informal reception in Chicago on Saturday, April 8. To join the group, simply purchase a coach ticket, for yourself and any family members, for Sunday, August 9, 2026, on Train 319, departing Chicago Union Station at 9:50 am, arriving in St. Louis at 2:51 pm.
